Ross walks the rooms with you, checks the condition of the walls and writes a fixed price itemised by area.
Colours settled first
Bring your own scheme or use ours. We sample on your walls so you see the colour in your light, not under a shop fluoro.
Protection and preparation
Floors and furniture covered, then filling, sanding, stain sealing and priming — the part that decides how it ages.
Coats applied
Full coats with proper drying time between them, cut in by hand. We clean down at the end of every single day.
Walk through together
We check it with you and fix anything you are not happy with before we invoice.

How much does interior house painting cost?

How long does it take to paint a house interior?
The timeframe depends on the size of the property and the amount of preparation required. A small project may take one or two days, while a complete interior repaint may take several days or longer.
Do I need to move my furniture?
Small belongings and fragile items should be removed before work begins. Larger furniture can often be moved toward the centre of the room and covered. The required preparation can be discussed before the project starts.
Do you repair cracks and holes before painting?
Yes. Minor cracks, dents and holes can generally be repaired as part of the preparation process. Larger plaster damage may require more extensive repairs.
How many coats of paint are required?
Most surfaces require two finish coats, but the number can vary depending on the existing colour, new colour, paint condition and product being used. A primer or undercoat may also be required.
Can you paint over dark colours?
Yes. Dark colours can be covered, but they may require a suitable undercoat and additional coats to achieve an even lighter finish.
What paint finish is best for interior walls?
Low-sheen paint is commonly used for living rooms, hallways and bedrooms. Washable or moisture-resistant finishes may be more suitable for kitchens, laundries and high-traffic areas.
